The Los Angeles Rams have unveiled their base of operations ahead of the 2022 NFL draft, and they have gone all out when it comes to picking the best possible spot.

When you’re the reigning champs, you kind of get the ability to splash out a little bit and show off during the offseason, and when you’re in Los Angeles, it only makes sense for you to partake in the glitz and glamour associated with the city.

But it’s fair to say that the Los Angeles Rams and head coach Sean McVay might have taken things to a whole new level when it comes to luxury ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Communication is key

The NFL Draft is meant to be an incredibly serious and tense affair, especially in the first two days during rounds 1, 2 and 3 where the whole direction of your franchise can be changed.

Which is why it’s imperative that the senior faces of the team are all in one place so that they can communicate instantly to any shocks and twists that can occur on draft night.

Changing things up a bit

The pandemic changed things in the past few years, with some operations having to be done remotely, which gave us the now famous images of New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick drafting alongside his dog Nike back in 2020.

Then there was the Arizona Cardinals’ Kliff Kingsbury drafting from his rather remarkable home in the desert.

Well, Kingsbury’s NFC West rivals may well have trumped the lot with their location for this year.

A house fit for the kings

The team announced in a video on social media that they will be doing their drafting from a location way up on the Hollywood Hills in a 14,000 square foot house.

According to Front Office Sports, the house includes six bedrooms, a Super Bowl mural, pool, patio, library, full bar, skate ramp, game room, fire pit and golf simulator that online would cost you as much as $9,500 per night.

The announcement video, which includes appearances from head coach McVay and General Manager Les Snead, includes a number of jokes about the state of the franchise, including their reluctance when it comes to drafting in the first round and how they can sometimes flirt a little too closely to spending more than the NFL salary cap allows.

It’s going to be incredibly hard for anyone to top that this year, but with a few days to go before draft day, there’s still time for someone else to pull something out of the hat and dazzle us further.
