Chelsea and Arsenal played out a six-goal thriller in their Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.

Arsenal went into the game desperately needing three points as they battle for the fourth and final Champions League spot.

There were four goals in a pulsating first-half.

The Gunners took the lead after 13 minutes as Eddie Nketiah profited from a disastrous Andreas Christensen mistake.

They weren't ahead for long, though, as Timo Werner restored parity four minutes later.

Arsenal re-took the lead through Emile Smith Rowe but Chelsea pegged them back again, with Cesar Azpilicueta finding a way past Aaron Ramsdale.

The action continued in the second half. Arsenal took the lead for the third time in the game 12 minutes after the break, with Nketiah bagging his second.

Mikel Arteta was extremely animated during the 90 minutes. He was particularly frustrated with some of the decisions that went his way in the first half.

The Spaniard was seen giving the fourth official, Andy Madley, a piece of his mind in the 41st minute.

Play had just been stopped when Arsenal had the ball in a dangerous area, due to Cesar Azpilicueta going down inside the box.
