EA Sports and Codemasters are taking the massively popular sport and syndicating the rule changes that have taken place for the 2022 FIA Formula 1 World Championship – with all-new elaborate car designs and more exciting wheel-to-wheel racing set to be on the cards once more, as we saw in F1 2021.
Miami is the only new addition to the racing calendar and will feature in F1 22, as well as a number of track layout changes, particularly the ones that we saw in Melbourne, Australia, a few weeks back.
Many had been speculating for weeks and months what Codemasters’ latest creation would look like, and fans got a first glimpse on Thursday into what the English developers have been up to and when the game will be released.
F1 22 Trailer
Fans sadly didn’t get to see any gameplay in this trailer, but EA’s official website confirmed in a press release that various new elements will be introduced to F1 22, including the all-new F1 Life game mode that was previously reported.
“Codemasters® and Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) today enter a new era of Formula 1® with the announcement of EA SPORTS F1® 22, releasing worldwide on Friday, July 1. In the biggest shake-up for over a decade, players will take their seats for the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championship™ in new hybrid cars, as overhauled rules reimagine the race weekend with the inclusion of F1® Sprint races.
“With a more competitive and unpredictable line-up, players will test their skills across the 2022 calendar, including the International Autodrome for the inaugural Miami Grand Prix. In another first, players can step into the glamorous world of Formula 1® with F1® Life, a customisable hub to show off their collection of supercars, clothing, and accessories, earned via gameplay, Podium Pass, and the in-game brand store. Players can pre-order the Champions Edition now, which includes three days early access and a time-limited Miami inspired content pack.”
