Mike Tyson, is best known for his career as a boxer, but the 55-year-old also got involved with WWE during his prime.

Tyson was brought into WWE (then WWF) during the 1990s, and helped the company beat WCW in the Monday Night Wars.

At the time, Tyson was banned from boxing for biting Evander Holyfield, and given that he was down to his last $150,000, Vince McMahon saw the opportunity to make history.

Tyson was brought in for WrestleMania XIV in April 1998, where he served as the special guest enforcer for the WWE title match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels.

However, if WWE got their way, this wouldn't have been the only time that Tyson was involved with the biggest show of the year.

WWE, if plans would have gone ahead, would have liked to have had Tyson working a match at WrestleMania X7, three years later, with Triple H.

Triple H has confirmed that the plan for WrestleMania X7 in 2001 was for him to work a 'boxing match' with Tyson at WWE's biggest show of the year.

In media interviews, HHH has said that the plan was for the pair "to do six rounds", and explained that while he didn't know about the specific rules of the match, the pair would have been wearing gloves.

We were going to do six rounds. I don’t remember if it was going to be full boxing rules, or whether I was wearing gloves"

The match didn't end up happening, and 'Iron Mike' wasn't involved with the show, with 'The Game' confirming that plans were scrapped because the boxer wanted "a ludicrous amount of money".

It ended up being a deal where the whole thing just would have been a ludicrous amount of money, and it got pushed off.

11 years after the match was scrapped, Tyson was involved with WWE's WrestleMania proceedings again, getting inducted into the Hall of Fame before WrestleMania XXVIII.
