A comeback video featuring an interview with British boxer Tyson Fury has resurfaced on Reddit and it highlights just how far the star has come.

In the two-minute clip, Fury explains how he “couldn’t go any lower” than the point he was currently at, but vows that he is “going to be king of the world again” and that “no one can take it from me.”

And that's exactly what he has gone on to achieve.

The 33-year-old retained his WBC heavyweight world title on Saturday with victory over Dillian Whyte. The pair faced off in front of a 94,000-capacity crowd at Wembley Stadium as Fury defeated his opponent in the sixth round.

The video hears Fury state: “There’s not a man out there born from his mother that can beat the Gypsy King, especially not when I’ve got a pair of gloves on in a boxing ring with a referee and a load of judges.”

Fury’s record currently stands at 32 wins from 33 fights as well as the memorable draw from his first of three fights with Deontay Wilder.

In the clip Fury also says: “Nothing can stop me or deter me from my path. No one can stop me on this mission back to the top. It’s a real-life Rocky story. From zero to hero to zero back to hero again.”

And he would be right.

Fans have witnessed the Gypsy King face some challenging moments and a daunting mental health journey, but his return to the ring has seen him clinch some remarkable victories. To witness the man in the video and compare him to the person that was in the ring at the weekend, it’s evident just how far the boxer has come.
