It seems The Best In The World is in the crosshairs of a rival overseas as the wrestling world heats up with the announcement of Forbidden Door.

This past Wednesday on AEW Dyanmite, Tony Khan revealed that on June 26th in Chicago, AEW are teaming up with NJPW to bring a joint pay-per-view known as "Forbidden Door."

Khan has revealed since that the event will see wresters from AEW collide with wrestlers signed to New Japan Pro Wrestling.

As soon as the announcement was confirmed, NJPW's KENTA took to Twitter to call out CM Punk by tweeting "GIVE ME #G2SvsGTS".

KENTA is the originator of the Go to Sleep finishing maneuver that CM Punk famously has been using for a long while in his career, which has seen him pick up numerous championships.

Punk and Kenta are no strangers to one another, as Punk credited KENTA for the GTS finisher all the way back in 2012.

KENTA followed up from his initial tweet with another stating that there was "No Way Out" for CM Punk.

Tony Khan may capitalise on the opportunity but it is all up in the air if Punk will be on the Forbidden Door card as his primary focus is on potentially capturing the AEW World Championship off of current champion "Hangman" Adam Page.

What we do know from this announcement is that the Undisputed Elite and Bullet Club will be at the event, with the UE's Adam Cole and Bullet Club's Jay White taking over the announcement from Tony Khan and NJPW President, Takami Ohbari.
