Tyson Fury's knockout: Incredible slow-motion footage vs Dillian Whyte

Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte

Tyson Fury destroyed Dillian Whyte at Wembley with a boxing masterclass in front of 94,000 fans.

Fury controlled the first few rounds but things soon started getting heated with the pair having to be separated by referee Mark Lyson.

Just as it appeared to be edging towards a comfortable victory for Fury, he produced a stunning sixth-round uppercut to send Whyte to the canvas.

Whyte attempted to recover but the fight was immediately stopped by the referee.

In real time, the knockout looked incredible. But the uppercut looks even more incredible in slow-motion.

Wow.

Before the fight, Fury insisted this would be his final fight.

“After this fight, I’m walking away,” Fury recently told ESPN. “A lot of people don’t believe me. I see my dad do an interview the other day, ‘He ain’t gonna walk away. He can’t live without boxing.’ But that’s where they all underestimate the big GK [Gypsy King], I can live without boxing.

“I always said, ‘When I walk away, I’ll never come back, ever.’”

He was asked about those comments immediately after the might and admitted it ‘might’ be his last fight.

Please don’t leave us, Tyson.

The Ultimate Tyson Fury quiz: Where was Tyson Fury born?

After the fight, Fury said:

“First of all, I want to say I dedicate this to my lord and saviour Jesus Christ. In his name I won this fight in my lively country. In my England. We are Spartans.

“I’m overwhelmed by the support. I cannot believe 94,000 countrymen and women came here to watch me. From the bottom of my heart thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and stayed up late to watch this fight.

“Dillian [Whyte] is a warrior and I believe he will be a world champion. One of the greatest and, unfortunately, he had to fight me tonight. You are not messing with a mediocre heavyweight, you are messing with the best man on the planet.

“This man, SugarHill [Steward], has made the man I am. He has made me the biggest boxer in the heavyweight division.

“I promised my wife that would be it after the [Deontay] Wilder fight. But I got offered a fight at Wembley and I owed it to the fans. What a way to go out.”
