An image of Jon Jones looking bigger and better than ever has emerged ahead of his anticipated UFC return this summer. His likely opponent looks to be Stipe Miocic in what could be an incredible match-up. This would see Jones making his heavyweight debut after a stellar career in the light heavyweight division.Jones hasn’t fought since his unanimous victory over Dominick Reyes back in February 2020. He subsequently vacated his Light Heavyweight belt over a pay dispute with Dana White.This has now been resolved, and Jones has indicated that he sees his future fighting at heavyweight. With 26 wins from his 28 fights as a mixed martial artist, his eagerly anticipated return will certainly draw the crowds.

The match-up with Miocic would be something of a baptism of fire for Jones. Miocic is a two-time UFC Heavyweight champ, and although his last fight was over a year ago in defeat to Francis Ngannou where he lost his title, he will still offer stiff competition for the returning Jones.

As well as the additional muscle Jones has and the power that gives him, he looked to be moving well and enjoying his work as he sparred with his trainers.

A fit and fired up Jones could spell trouble for 39-year-old Miocic, and this would allow Jones the springboard back into the UFC fight game that he desires.

A resounding victory in his comeback, and a title shot and the big money fights that he craves will surely not be too far away.

Elsewhere in the world of UFC, following on from the success of UFC London back in March, the line-up for the UFC’s return in July is now starting to be released with Darren Till v Jack Hermansson the latest bout to be announced.

Till (18-4-1) is looking to get himself back on track after successive losses in his last two fights, whilst Hernmansson (22-7) is also desperate for a win after losing 3 of his previous 5 fights.

Aside from that fight Tom Aspinall is expected to headline the event in a match-up against Curtis Blaydes.

The UK crowds will be desperate to see the home favourite again after his performance of the night back in March where he won with a first-round submission against Alexander Volkov.
