Arsenal have been 'offered the chance to sign' Everton attacker Richarlison as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his options at the Emirates Stadium, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Gunners currently find themselves in the Premier League's top four and, ahead of a potential Champions League campaign, it appears Arteta has already started to pinpoint targets before the summer window opens for business.

What's the latest news involving Richarlison?

According to 90min, Arsenal have added Richarlison to a shortlist of targets and are known to be long-term admirers.

However, the Gunners are not the only side looking to swoop for the 34-cap Brazil international as the report suggests Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also mulling over whether to make a summer move.

It is understood that Richarlison's representatives have told Everton that he is eager to leave Goodison Park at the end of the season as he wants to give himself the best possible chance of making his country's squad for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

Arsenal chief Arteta is certain to be looking at potential reinforcements at the top of the pitch as Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are set to see their respective contracts expire at the end of the campaign, currently leaving the Gunners without an option up front heading into next season.

Richarlison, who cost Everton £50million when he joined from Watford close to four years ago, still has more than two years remaining on his £110,000-per-week contract on Merseyside.

What has Dean Jones said about Richarlison?

Jones understands Arsenal have already been sounded out about taking Richarlison off Everton's hands in the summer.

The transfer insider believes a move to the Emirates Stadium could be on the cards for the 24-year-old.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: "I think Arsenal definitely have a possibility of signing Richarlison.

"They know that he could leave Everton and is likely to leave Everton in the summer. They've been offered the chance to sign him."

Why is Richarlison of interest to Arsenal?

Richarlison offers plenty of Premier League experience, having featured for Everton and previous employers Watford 168 times in the competition.

He has also shown that he is capable of being a potent hitman by finding the back of the net on 50 occasions since heading to Goodison Park.

Although Richarlison has been less of a goal threat this term, having got his name on the scoresheet eight times in 28 outings, he currently finds himself in a struggling Everton side.

Should the Toffees drop into the Championship, which is a distinct possibility after they slipped into the relegation zone at the weekend, that could boost Arsenal's chances of striking a deal.

However, he was branded an 'absolute disgrace' during Everton's Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool.
