Asuka hasn't been seen on WWE TV since Money in the Bank in July of last year, but that could be about to change.

Reddit user kerrmit125, who was the first to report that Stone Cold Steve Austin would be main eventing WrestleMania 38, has given some insight into Asuka's WWE future.

Becky Lynch is slated to return to WWE Raw tonight, her first appearance since WrestleMania, and the Reddit user suggested she'll get involved with Asuka.

This would indicate that Asuka, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury for just shy of a year, is also returning on tonight's show.

That report has now been followed up on by Fightful Select, who notes that the plan for tonight's Raw is for Asuka to return and start a short-term feud with Becky Lynch.

Fightful has been made aware of imminent plans for Asuka to return to WWE Raw. We've learned that as of this weekend, the plan was for her to enter at least a short-term program with Becky Lynch.

The report does note that, as always, plans can change very quickly in WWE, but as of this weekend, Asuka was slated to be on Raw tonight.

Tonight's show will have a strong focus on the women's division, with Bianca Belair slated to defend her Raw Women's Championship against Sonya Deville.

Becky and Asuka do have some history together, so it'll be interesting to see if WWE brings that up now that both women are back on TV.

Lynch announced that she was pregnant on WWE Raw in May 2020, vacating the Raw Women's Championship to Asuka.

The segment was one of the most emotional and real in recent memory, and could serve as a good callback in a Asuka v Lynch feud.

By the time Lynch returned from her pregnancy in August 2021, Asuka had already been off TV for a month, so the pair haven't crossed paths in close to two years.
