On April 25, 2002, a 22-year-old Randy Orton made his WWE in-ring debut.

Today marks 20 years to the day since Randy Orton made his in-ring debut for WWE on SmackDown.

On the show, which aired on April 25 but was actually taped on April 23, Orton beat Hardcore Holly.

The match wasn't Orton's first in WWE, as he'd been wrestling on house shows and live events beforehand, but it was his first on either Raw or SmackDown.

Orton, who was a fresh-faced 22-year-old at the time, rose to stardom in WWE shortly thereafter, winning the World Heavyweight title just two years later.

With the exception of a couple of layoffs through injury, Orton has been one of WWE's regular top stars on TV for two decades now, and remains a feature on Raw to this day.

Orton is the reigning Raw Tag Team Champion alongside Riddle, and incredible to still see him as one of WWE's top stars to this day.

Orton will be on WWE Raw tonight, with it being promoted that his illustrious 20-year career will be celebrated on the broadcast.

The show will also feature the next segment of the RK-Bro v The Usos storyline, with a Raw and SmackDown Tag Team title unification match set for WrestleMania Backlash.

After Roman Reigns unified the WWE and Universal titles at WrestleMania, WWE has decided to have the tag team titles follow suit next month.

Some have even speculated that should RK-Bro lose the title, WWE is going to have Randy Orton feud with Roman Reigns heading into the summer, again proving how impressive his longevity is.
