Asuka brought the house down on last night’s episode of Raw as she made her long-awaited comeback.
Becky Lynch, who appeared on WWE television for the first time since dropping her title to Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38, had her promo interrupted by the return of The Empress of Tomorrow.
Big Time Becks had been stressing to the audience that she would be back on top of her perch any day now, until her her old friend crashed the party and promised she would stop Lynch from reclaiming the title.
A stunned Big Time Becks was rooted to the spot and could only watch as Asuka, vibrant as ever, entered the ring to a big pop from the crowd.
The crowd cheered as The Empress danced around and soaked in the moment. It has been nine long months since the two-time Raw Women’s Champion made a WWE appearance and now she is back to change the scene on the red brand.
“I will stop you, because no one is ready for Asuka,” the Japanese star yelled as the crowd clamoured once again.
Asuka, riding the wave of the atmosphere inside the arena, then paid Lynch huge disrespect by flicking her on the nose. The history making, record-breaking Big Time Becks, without her title or any of her former allies, got flicked on live television by her former friend.
A friend who she in fact relinquished her title to before she left WWE to go on maternity leave.
Almost two years ago to the day, Lynch gifted the Raw Women’s Championship to Asuka in a wholesome segment where she told her friend she was having a baby.
“As happy as you are to be the champion, I might be a little bit happier,” The Man said after handing over her title. “You go and be a warrior, because I’m gonna go be a mother.”

The two embraced in a genuinely emotional moment and Asuka’s new title made her only the second woman in WWE history to win the Grand Slam.
After Asuka’s stunt on the latest episode of Raw, Lynch has taken to Twitter to respond.
“I literally handed this b**ch my title,” she wrote, posting a GIF of the moment they shared almost two years ago.
Lynch was a babyface when she and Asuka were last on WWE together, but now, she is an alpha heel who is obsessed over earning her title back. Big Time Becks is not The Man her friend used to know.
So far, there has been no confirmation of a feud between the two women but it looks as though Big Time Becks will not let The Empress get away with what she has done and Asuka is clearly not about to see the title fall back into her hands.
