Middlesbrough vs Cardiff Live Stream: How to Watch, Team News, Head to Head, Odds, Prediction and Everything You Need to Know

Bamba of Middlesbrough and Ng of Cardiff

Championship football is happening this Wednesday as we see Middlesbrough host Cardiff at the Riverside, here’s everything you need to know.

Despite their shocking recent form, this is a huge game for Middlesbrough. A win could see them shoot up to seventh place in the table – just two points behind an elusive playoff spot and the excitement of potential promotion to the Premier League.

Cardiff on the other hand are much further down the table. They sit 19th, but a win could see them shoot up two places. They appear to be safe from the drop, but at this late stage of the season – every point counts.

This should be an exciting encounter, so – here’s everything you need to know about Middlesbrough against Cardiff.

Chris Wilder’s side will be without key centre-half Dael Fry after he suffered a calf injury at the beginning of April. He’s set to return hopefully in early May.

Cardiff have also suffered a loss this month with first-choice keeper Alex Smithies suffering a leg injury. He’s still unavailable, meaning backup Dillon Phillips will keep his place.

Cardiff also have long term injuries in Isaac Vassel and Sean Morrison. Neither side has any suspensions they need to worry about.

Despite both sides being in absolutely shocking form – Middlesbrough are clear favourites to win this one and we agree. It will certainly be a close one, but Wilder will be looking to kickstart their form again leading up to the end of the season and this is the perfect midweek opportunity to do so.
