UFC star Nate Diaz has rejected the idea of a third fight against Conor McGregor as his hunt for an opponent continues.

The long-running saga of Nate Diaz vs UFC has had many twists and turns over the years. Some blame Nate for not playing ball whereas others believe the UFC hasn’t been able to capitalise on the true value of the Stockton king.

Whatever the case may be, Diaz seems pretty interested in the idea of exploring the open market - but only once he’s managed to get through the final fight on his contract.

A string of potential foes have been suggested for him to face with Jorge Masvidal, Dustin Poirier and Vicente Luque all being names that feature pretty regularly.

Above all of them, though, would be the trilogy showdown with Conor McGregor.

The rivalry between these two men is one of the greatest in the history of mixed martial arts and with their series being locked at 1-1, it’ll feel like unfinished business if we don’t get to see them tangle one more time.

Alas, if Diaz is to be believed, we aren’t going to be seeing it anytime soon - if ever.

“@ufc I been trying to fight everybody and no go what’s the hold up? I’m not fighting Conor he sucks. I’ll fight some one quit slow rolling me please. Thanks”

If the right offer is put in front of him then he could always change his mind, but Nate Diaz knows his worth.

When is McGregor coming back?

The short answer to this question is that nobody really knows.

The Irishman has been back in sparring for a couple of weeks now and appears to be on his way to a full recovery. However, with UFC president Dana White suggesting that he currently has no plans in place for his return, we should all probably be expecting to wait a little bit longer.

An autumn date seems likely for ‘The Notorious’ and we have no doubt that fighters will be lining up to try and get that payday, regardless of whether he comes back at welterweight or lightweight.
