Max Verstappen had a fantastic season in 2021.

He won 10 races with 10 pole positions and a record of 18 podiums.

The Dutchman also had a hotly contested rivalry with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. The two were tied on 369.5 points going into the Abu Dhabi showdown in December of 2021.

Coming out victorious, Verstappen became the fourth-youngest driver in F1 history, at 24 years and 73 days, to win the world championship. He only finds himself behind Fernando Alonso, Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel on the list of youngest champions.

This, of course, is very famous company, but consistency is important as a career progresses.

The Dutchman will be looking to retain his title in 2022 and will face tough challenges from different contenders in order to find his consistency.

Though, a post on Reddit from r/Harrison9twoPoGo, has detailed and listed the F1 drivers with the most consistent podium finishes compared to their total amount of entries.

It may not be a surprise to see Hamilton at the top of the list. The Brit has 183 podium finishes from 292 entries, which leaves him with a stunning 62.67% podium success rate.

This is by far higher than the next best of 50.32% held by F1 legend and similar seven-time winner Michael Schumacher.

It’s interesting to note that while Verstappen’s F1 career is still young, he already finds himself on this list. Having been racing since 2015, the reigning champion has crept into the top 10 list with 62 podium finishes in 145 races. He has accumulated an impressive 42.76% podium percentage, which may set the tone for the rest of his career.

Currently, Verstappen is placed in a fast-paced duel with Ferrari and Charles Leclerc. The early portions of the season has seen a battle between the two with many twists and turns. Charles won the opener in Bahrain with both Max and his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez having to leave the race due to technical problems with their cars.

Verstappen responded in Saudi Arabia before it went back to Leclerc in Australia and most recently back to the Dutchman in Italy.

It seems a very back and forth battle and fans will be on the edge of their seat waiting to see whether Verstappen will retain his crown and prove that he belongs in a list with the greats, or whether Ferrari and Leclerc could take the throne.
