Manchester United's dreams of finishing in the Premier League top four were shattered last Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils travelled to the Emirates Stadium knowing only a win would suffice, but it was Arsenal who emerged victorious.
Mikel Arteta's side won 3-1 thanks to goals from Nuno Tavares, Bukayo Saka and Granit Xhaka.
United actually performed pretty well in north London, with goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo the best player on the park.
If Bruno Fernandes had converted from the spot to make it 2-2 early in the second half, the Red Devils may very well have left the capital with three precious points.
But the Portuguese midfielder saw his tame spot kick hit the post and roll wide, much to the joy of Arsenal players - Aaron Ramsdale in particular.
Fernandes probably should have taken a leaf out of Saka's book when taking his penalty.
The Arsenal forward calmly fired the ball past David De Gea in the first half, his second penalty goal in the space of four days following his late effort in the 4-2 win away at Chelsea.
Saka also had to deal with Scott McTominay's cheeky attempt at putting him off before he took his spot kick.
New footage has emerged that shows the United midfielder shamelessly knocking the ball out of Saka's hand and to be fair to the Arsenal man, he dealt with it brilliantly.

Video: McTominay tries to put off Saka
You have to admire the hustle from McTominay, but Saka didn't let it bother him one bit and kept full composure before rifling the ball into the goal.
The Arsenal youngster really has put his Euro 2020 penalty woes behind him and he deserves a lot of credit for that.
Saka's miss in the final secured victory for Italy at England's expense. He hasn't let that moment derail his career one bit, though.
In fact, the 20-year-old has improved a considerable amount since that fateful night at Wembley and his brilliance may help bring Champions League football back to the Emirates next season.
