Tampa Bay Buccanneers quarterback Tom Brady has spoken about how he felt towards other teams when he was a free agent back in 2020.

Having parted ways with the New England Patriots after a run in Foxborough that catapulted him to arguably being the greatest quarterback and NFL player of all time, Brady was given the chance to choose his next team.

When you enter free agency with the C.V that Brady has, there are always going to be plenty of teams that wanted to show an interest, and indeed there were a number of teams that were considered landing spots for him.

Tom Stays Terrific in Tampa

Ultimately he decided to move to Tampa Bay, where his impact was felt pretty instantly, as he put up over 5,500 yards and 50 passing touchdowns across the regular and postseason to give the Buccaneers their 2nd ever Super Bowl.

And despite his age, as he entered last season aged 44, that production is still there for him, as last season he was able to put up just shy of 6,000 yards across throughout the campaign to go with 46 touchdowns.

Sending a message

The Buccaneers’ gain was clearly a loss for the rest of the league, and Brady is clearly not in a position to let anyone forget it, and he made that point abundantly clear as ESPN posted a clip from the latest episode of ‘Man In The Arena’, a documentary series about his career so far.

In the clip he talks about the interest surrounding him at that time, saying that unless you were a team that already had one of the premier quarterbacks in the league, possibly hinting at the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes, then there must have been something wrong with them to not want him on their team:

Brady has long had a chip on his shoulder when it comes to his career, which started out by being picked 199th in the 2000 NFL Draft.

And it looks as if he really is on a mission to prove every single team wrong for not taking him, whether it be in the draft or in free agency.

The only question is just when it’s going to end, because he’s certainly showing no signs of slowing down just yet.
