Manchester United's woes continued as they were beaten by Arsenal in their Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils went into the game desperate for a win.

Ralf Rangnick's side went into the match three points off the top four and with their hopes of qualifying for next year's Champions League hanging by a thread.

However, they were second best throughout and and succumbed to a 3-1 defeat.

Emile Smith Rowe opened the scoring after five minutes, only for Cristiano Ronaldo to level proceedings in the 32nd minute.

But Bukayo Saka restored Arsenal's lead and Granit Xhaka struck a second half beauty to ensure the victory for the home side.

A video, initially posted by Arsenal's has now gone viral of Alex Telles and Jadon Sancho 'attempting to block' Eddie Nketiah just before Saka's penalty.

The United duo were positioned on the edge of the box and, when they saw Nketiah trying to sneak in-between them, they moved together to block him out and prevent him following up any potential rebound.

However, they failed to keep their eye on the Arsenal striker.

Nketiah simply edged back and then to the side as he took up another position.

Sancho and Telles didn't know where Nketiah had gone. The clip then cuts off with the former looking around trying to locate his opponent.

The clip has gone viral having attracted over 7k retweets and 42k 'likes' at the time of writing. View some reaction below...

Of course, Sancho and Telles failing to keep tabs on Nketiah did not matter as, moments later, Saka banged home the penalty.

But it's still comical nonetheless and thousands of fans have enjoyed the clip.

Arsenal are now up to fourth and favourites to qualify for the Champions League after this weekend's game.

United, meanwhile, are six points behind the Gunners having played a game more. They need a miracle if they are to return to Europe's premier cup competition.
