Manchester City and Real Madrid played out a pulsating Champions League semi-final first leg tie at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday evening.

City looked they would run away with it in the opening 10 minutes as goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus gave them a two-goal lead.

Real could have found themselves even further down but they halved the deficit courtesy of the brilliant Karim Benzema.

Phil Foden made it 3-1 just after half-time, only for Vinicius Jr to cut the gap once again with a stunning solo goal.

Bernardo Silva then scored a howitzer to make it 4-2, but Benzema had the final say as he scored an outrageous Panenka with seven minutes remaining.

Silva's goal was brilliant. Benzema's penalty was classy. But the goal of the game was scored by Vinicius.

Real will welcome City to the Santiago Bernabeu for their second leg tie on May 4.

City go into the game with a slight advantage but it's still all to play for. The game at the Etihad was a thriller, let's hope the game in Madrid is even better.
