NFL insider Ian Rapaport may have dropped a pretty huge hint when it comes to the Jacksonville Jaguars and the upcoming NFL Draft.

His news follows on from reports that Jaguars offensive lineman Cam Robinson, a second round pick for the Jaguars in the 2017 draft, is set to be given an extended contract at TIAA Bank Field.

And Rapaport has hinted that this could ultimately have a huge impact on what the Jaguars do in tomorrow’s draft, where they have the number one pick for the second consecutive year after they took quarterback Trevor Lawrence at the same spot.

What has Rapaport said?

Taking to Twitter, Rapaport broke down the deal for both sides, claiming that not only does the deal mean that Robinson is set to be taken care of with a big contract and long-term job security, but that it also meant that Jaguars are safe knowing they have someone at the position that they can rely on moving forward.

However, he then followed that up by quote-tweeting himself by asking what the new deal could mean for the Jaguars at the number one spot.

Giving the game away?

Rapaport’s comments come after he had done a segment for the NFL Network earlier in the day where he claimed that the Jaguars were down to four players that they could possibly take with that precious first pick.

Those names were, in the words of Rapaport, ‘presumably’ defensive linemen Travon Walker of Georgia and Aidan Hutchinson of Michigan as well as offensive linemen Evan Neal from Alabama and Ickey Ekwonu from North Carolina State.

Now putting two and two together, that means that the Jaguars’ decision for who to take is down to two, the two stud defensive linemen that many are predicting will go high in this draft.

Now obviously there is still time for them to make their mind up which of the two it is likely to be, and there are always unexpected twists when it comes to the draft, so nothing is totally certain.

But it seems that without meaning to, the Jaguars and Rapaport may have just dropped a huge hint as to what player will be the first across the stage tomorrow night.
