Alejandro Garnacho makes Man Utd debut

Alejandro Garnacho made his Manchester United debut in the final minutes of their 1-1 draw against Chelsea on Thursday night.

The 17-year-old is extremely highly-rated at Old Trafford having played a big role in helping the club reach the final of the FA Youth Cup.

He was signed from Atletico Madrid in 2020 and was surprisingly called up to Argentina’s squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Ecuador.

He uploaded an image of him training alongside Lionel Messi meaning he had the pleasure of training alongside both the Argentine and Cristiano Ronaldo within a matter of days.

Not bad for a 17-year-old.

Now, Garnacho can say that he’s actually played a Premier League alongside Ronaldo.

He was introduced in second-half injury-time against Chelsea and footage showing the reaction of his family is just wonderful.

As Alejandro entered the pitch to an incredible reception, fan footage captured his family’s wonderful reaction.

His father couldn’t help but cry, while he also comforts another family member who appears overcome with emotion.

While the youngster may not have touched the ball in his very short debut, it’s a moment he will remember for the rest of his life. No matter what happens in his career now, he can always say he’s played for Man United. All of his hard work and dedication over the last 17 years – as well as all the help he’s received from his family – has paid off.

After seeing the reaction from his family, both captain Harry Maguire and United’s executive vice-chairman Richard Arnold went over to the family to congratulate them.
