Becky Lynch has continued her war of words with a WWE Hall of Famer by stating she’s ‘ready’ for a cross-generational meeting with Trish Stratus

In what many would describe as a dream match, Lynch has laid down the challenge to Stratus whilst chatting  with Drew Garabo on Featured Cut of the Day. Stating that she is ‘ready’ for a match with the former Women’s Champion if she wants to go.

If Trish Stratus wants to go, I am ready to go. But I think she should know that I destroyed her bestie. Her bestie, who I loved, who was my hero, who was my idol. I wasn’t a Trish Stratus fan, so just imagine what I will do to her.

It’s the latest verbal bar dropped by Big Time Becks on Trish, following their virtual blows across Twitter earlier this month. Using Tony Khan’s recent bizarre dig at anti-AEW fans being work of bots, by posting a joke tweet of who would possibly pay for something like that and dropping Stratus’ name.

Trish responded on her timeline by accusing Big Time Becks of being desperate and tacky - a clever reference to Seth Rollins quote about AEW stars mentioning WWE names - and it sparked speculation that we may see Stratus make a return to the ring to face the Irish star.

In February Becky Lynch competed in another ‘dream match’ when she defeated Lita at the Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia. Something she says she’ll cherish for the rest of her life.

“I mean look, when you think about it, she’s one of the women I could point to and say, ‘I want to be like her.’ She was ballsy, she was fiery, she was doing stuff that I had never seen other women do, and I loved that about her. To get to be in the ring against your childhood hero, very, very rarely does that happen. So, it was not wasted on me, only the fact that she came for my title right before WrestleMania, and I had to destroy her, clouded my vision of it. But it was an experience that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.”

Lynch returned to Raw this past week, her first appearance since WrestleMania, where she was interrupted by a a returning Auska. A programme between the pair is now set to continue, twelve months after Becky ‘dropped’ her Raw Women’s Championship to The Empress of Tomorrow to go on maternity leave.Â
