WWE 2K22 has enjoyed an excellent launch and the developers are subsequently supporting their game as much as possible.

Indeed, a new patch last week brought a raft of gameplay tweaks, including some surprising free content.

Indeed, the NXT 2.0 arena was added to the game, along with the broadcast package that goes with it, with no charge attached. It also fixed issues in MyGM, adding the potential to book tag team title matches, while it also increased the number of bouts you can book for each show.

This week, 2K released their first DLC pack, offering up five wrestlers for download in the Banzai Pack: Yokozuna, Umaga, Rikishi, Kacy Catanzaro, and Omos.

And there is now a new patch to go along with it, as 2K continue to iron out any issues present in the game.

Update 1.09 was filled to the brim with fixes and new content but this update is a lot smaller, though no less important.

The patch notes consist of just one sentence, with 2K Games confirming that the following fix has been made: “This update consists of continued improvements to the stability of the game when downloading multiple Superstars from Community Creations.”

There have previously been issues with the game crashing when players downloaded a number of community creations, due to a previously unannounced logo limit.

This should allow players to download as many creations as they want, which will be a relief to a number of players who want to create updated universes, or potentially run shows involving wrestlers from AEW and NJPW.

Per What's The Status on Twitter, the new update also seems to restrict what modders are able to do on PC.

Status, one of the most well-known creators in the WWE 2K22 community, revealed that the hot fix was 27GB for players on PC, and is designed to restrict players from uploading external modded characters; for example, some modders have been uploading old models from other games, such as 2K19, and editing them within 2K22.

That will no longer be possible on PC.

We’ll bring you all the latest as and when any other new patches drop for WWE 2K22.
