Jake Paul has publicly shamed Floyd Mayweather and has said that he fears that his older brother Logan Paul won’t get paid what he’s owed from the fight as the former champion is broke and owes a lot of people money.
Fans across the world tuned in to watch a YouTuber contest against undoubtedly one of the best boxers to ever grace the ring.
Paul pulled off the unimaginable after lasting the whole fight against legend Mayweather in an exhibition match back in June 2021.
However, it has been revealed since that he has still not received his pay cut from the fight.
In a plea to gain his rightful money, Paul intimidated Mayweather with a threat to sue him. He also added that he doesn’t believe that Mayweather has all the riches he claims and that his lavish lifestyle is all a facade.
His younger brother has also claimed that Mayweather is broke and when asked by FightHub TV, he shared his perception of Floyd’s financial status.
“Not, not yet,” said Jake. “Floyd Mayweather is broke. That’s what a lot of people don’t realise.
“He gets these big cheques and doesn’t pay taxes on them. Then the IRS comes hunting him down later.”
There is no substantial evidence that these claims are true but regardless, the younger Paul brother is adamant that Logan will never be paid.
Mayweather has shrugged off the lawsuit threats and has claimed it typically “takes a while” for boxers to receive their percentage for a fight.
There has been no further mention of the legality of the case since but Logan has urged Pretty Boy to pay him following his upcoming fight in Dubai.
Mayweather has promised that his exhibition bout against Don Moore will be explosive, unlike his one against American star Paul.
In a press conference to announce the fight, he said:
“Don will come to fight. It’s a little different; Don is going to come to fight and may the best man win.
Whereas at the Hard Rock Stadium, Logan Paul talked a good game but didn’t come to fight; he came to hold. So he’s coming to fight, I’m coming to fight. Eight rounds, from start to finish, it’s going to be explosive.”
