Trent Alexander-Arnold was caught having a cheeky little laugh as skipper Jordan Henderson got the opportunity to step up to a free-kick in his absence.

Alexander-Arnold perfectly personifies the term 'dead ball specialist.'

His wand of a right-foot is like nothing we have had the privilege of seeing since the era of David Beckham.

And so, it's no coincidence that Liverpool have scored more set-piece goals than any other team in the Premier League this season - Trent is simply a master.

Therefore with him in the picture, and the likes of Thiago Alcantara providing more than capable back-up, free-kicks can be hard to come by for other players in the squad.

Against Newcastle, though, Klopp's decision to rotate on mass created the perfect opportunity for one of the less established takers to step up.

Cue, Henderson.

The former Sunderland man caught the final years of Steven Gerrard in a Liverpool shirt so must have been desperate to emulate his predecessor.

Not to mention the obvious Newcastle distain. Henderson was probably desperate to smash one into the top corner at St. James' Park.

But it didn't quite turn out that way...

Henderson's free-kick

Instead of rifling one straight into the top bins, it sailed high and wide by about five yards.

The Newcastle fans were absolutely delighted with the result and made sure they let the Liverpool skipper know exactly what they thought about his wayward strike.

Although, it wasn't just the Newcastle fans that were laughing...

As the camera panned out towards the bench, it settled on Alexander-Arnold who could be seen leaning towards the monitor in front of him and having a good old giggle with fellow teammates Caoimhin Kelleher and Ibrahima Konate.

Alexander-Arnold's reaction

Don't sweat it Henderson, we can't all have a right-foot blessed by the footballing Gods.

Besides, with a bit of good fortune none of it will matter should Liverpool go on to win a historic quadruple.

Because it won't be Alexander-Arnold lifting the trophies above his head now, will it.
