The argument over the undisputed UFC GOAT is one that may never truly be settled.Whether you fall on the side of Georges St-Pierre, Jon Jones, Khabib Nurmagomedov or someone else, each and every superstar brings something unique to the debate.Jones may streak ahead in the discussion if he can make light work of the heavyweight division as he continues preparations to step up and take on the big boys.St-Pierre will always be looked upon fondly as one of the bona-fide legends of the organisation but do either of them hold a candle to Khabib?Khabib ended his career undefeated with an incredible record of 29-0. He dominated the lightweight division for years before calling time on his career following the untimely death of his father.Considering the fact that Khabib hauled himself up out of obscurity to the the top of the combat sports world is just testament to the grit and determination of the man.Khabib Nurmagomedov LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - OCTOBER 05: UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov poses during a ceremonial weigh-in for UFC 229 at T-Mobile Arena on October 05, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images)His blockbuster bout with Conor McGregor was one of the biggest combat sports events of all time and it was that resounding victory that cemented his status as one of the greats.Khabib was one of the toughest operators out there, a fact no better proven than by recent footage of his 'granite chin' that has been doing the rounds on social media. In the montage, Khabib is seen copping some monstrous blows and simply brushing them off as if they hadn't landed at all.

Unbelievable - some of those would have knocked lesser men clean out.

It was a real shame to see Khabib retire when he did but you can hardly blame him.

Without his beloved father watching on, the fight game had lost meaning and, considering how dominant he had become, there was just nothing left for him to achieve.

Of course we would all love to see him back but, even if he never sets foot in an Octagon again, we believe he has done more than enough to be named one of the greatest of all time.
