Cristiano Ronaldo is still one of the best players on the planet at the age of 37.

On the Monday Night Football, the striker was once again Manchester United's best player and helped the team achieve a much-needed 3-0 victory over Brentford.

Ronaldo was electric at Old Trafford and scored his 18th Premier League goal of the season in the second half.

The Portugal captain rifled the ball home from the penalty spot and after he was upended in the area by Rico Henry.

If Monday evening is to be Ronaldo's last ever game at Old Trafford, it was certainly a fitting finale.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was named Man of the Match and received an incredible reception from the United fans who remained in the stadium after the full-time whistle had been blown.

But there's a chance we may be seeing Ronaldo donning the Red Devils jersey next season, as the striker appeared to send a message to the world as he left the pitch.

With the cameras on him, the former Real Madrid and Juventus man appeared to say: "I'm not finished."

Maybe there is going to be another chapter added to Ronaldo's incredible story at United in 2022/23.

After watching his masterclass against Brentford, which included some impressive playmaking and tireless defensive work, you feel he simply has to be part of Erik ten Hag's plans.

United legend Roy Keane made it very clear before Monday night's action that he believes Ronaldo - who has 12 months remaining on his current deal - will be at the club next season.

“I wouldn’t have thought so," the Irishman replied when asked if the Brentford match could be Ronaldo's Old Trafford swansong.

“I know there’s speculation but I can’t imagine Ronaldo not being at Man United next year unless something drastic changes in the summer.

“If you look at the goals he’s got, he’s a threat and any manager would want to work with him. Simple as that.”
