Ronnie O’Sullivan gave an emotional interview following a powerful moment with Judd Trump after winning his seventh World Championship title on Monday night. The 46-year-old became the oldest world champion in Crucible history with an 18-13 victory over Trump.O’Sullivan, who equals Stephen Hendry’s record in the modern era, claimed the £500,000 top prize and shared a beautiful moment with his fellow finalist immediately afterwards.Trump applauded his opponent and the pair shared a long hug while exchanging some kind words.“I was so emotional,” O’Sullivan admitted during a powerful interview with Eurosport. “To finally get over the line, I just thought it would never happen.“I gave him a big hug and I was just sobbing in his arms. And he said such lovely words.

“What he said to me blew me away to be honest. It just blew me away. I love Judd. I love him, he’s a great lad, and I didn’t realise what he thought of me until then.

“Different respect there, you know. I didn’t realise how he sees me and how I’ve been part of his development.

"It’s great for snooker that we’ve got someone like Judd, playing the way he plays. There’s a couple more coming through [Zhao] Xintong, it’s going to be brilliant.

"That’s my best result ever I think."

Wow. It’s very rare to see The Rocket like that in interviews.

As the interviewer said: “This is a side to you that we seldom get to see because we know that you’re an entertainer on the baize but actually it means everything.”

O’Sullivan replied: “It’s just what Judd said there, you know.”
