Manchester United comfortably saw off Brentford with a 3-0 victory in Ralf Rangnick's last home game in charge at Old Trafford on Monday evening, as many Red Devils fans turned their attention to the arrival of new boss Erik ten Hag.

The 52-year-old Ajax boss will take over at the 'Theatre of Dreams' in the summer, when current interim manager Rangnick moves into a part-time consultancy role.

United supporters have never truly warmed to Rangnick, who was always intended to be a short-term solution to the club's managerial dilemma following the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last November.

Despite being several weeks away from his official unveiling as the new United manager, fans were already noticeably vocal in their support for Ten Hag before the Brentford match.

Judging by the social media response to their first attempt at a chant for their new boss, however, we reckon it needs a fair bit of work before the new season kicks off in August.

Mocked relentlessly by both fellow United supporters and fans of rival clubs, the chant goes as follows: "One Hag, Two Hag, Three Hag, Four Hag, Five Hag, Six Hag, Seven Hag, Eight Hag, Nine Hag, Ten Hag… Ten Hag, Ten Hag, Ten Hag, Ten Hag!"

Probably not one that took very long to come up with, to say the least. You can check it out for yourself below.

Following a dismal campaign, United are set to miss out on Champions League football next term, something that would have been considered a disaster at the start of the current season.

Ten Hag has a sizeable job on his hands when he arrives at Old Trafford next month. If he is able to turn the struggling club around and restore it to its former glory, then hopefully the United fanbase honour him with a reworked chant from the stands.
