Ricochet has admitted he’d like to be the latest main roster name to work a programme in NXT

In recent months we’ve seen several WWE Superstars from Raw and SmackDown work angles in NXT 2.0. With AJ Styles mixing it up with Grayson Waller, Riddle the mentor for MSK and Natalya’s most recent programme with Cora Jade. Dolph Ziggler also crossed over and was briefly NXT Champion during his feud with Bron Breakker.

Now, current Intercontinental Champion Ricochet has said whilst speaking to Cultaholic that he’d be open to following in those Superstars’ footsteps, by returning to NXT.

AJ went back and now Nattie’s down there and all these guys are going back down there, and it seems like they’re having a great time. Me and Carmelo [Hayes] had a thing. If Carmelo wants the heat, he can have it but whoever it is I would love to go down there. That’s always been a home of mine so, any time.

During his first stint in NXT, Ricochet was named breakout star in 2018 and would win the North American Championship, defeating Adam Cole for the title. He was also the winner of the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside Aleister Black.

He was called up to Raw in February 2019 and went on to win the United States Championship from Samoa Joe at Stomping Grounds, and most recently the Intercontinental Championship. Defeating Sami Zayn for the title on the March 4 episode of SmackDown.

The 33-year-old was in action during this week’s European tour, where in London on Friday night he successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship in a triple-threat match against former champ Zayn and Butch.
