Saturday night brings us one of the biggest boxing fights of the year so far with pound-for-pound boxing great Canelo Alvarez moving up the weight divisions to take on the world champion Dmitry Bivol.

The pair will be battling it out in Las Vegas in a 12 round bout for Bivol’s WBA light heavyweight title. Alvarez hasn't fought since his victory against Caleb Plant to become the undisputed super-middleweight champion in December last year, so will be looking to continue his winning ways.

But Bivol is someone who also has a huge taste for winning ways. The Russian giant is currently 19 matches undefeated and won't want to give up his light heavyweight title so easily - so this should be an absolute cracker to watch.

But with both fighters having so much on the line - who is the favourite? Who do we think will win? Well, scroll down to find out the latest odds and our prediction for Canelo Alvarez versus Dmitry Bivol.

Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol Prediction

Our Prediction - Canelo Alvarez to win by KO/TKO.

Although Bivol has proven himself as an excellent boxer, the boxing icon that is Canelo Alvarez is just far too good for him.

This will certainly be a tough test for Alvarez and a necessary test if he wants to fight Gennady Golovkin, he first needs to defeat Bivol.

We think he'll do this pretty comfortably. Bivol likes to control and dominate the ring but this won't be possible against the highly skilled Mexican. Bivol may emerge victorious in a few rounds, but after the halfway stage we really think we'll see Alvarez come into his own.

In the later rounds, Bivol will tire and that's where we think Alvarez will pounce and subsequently knock him out.

So boxing fans! Are you looking forward to the fight? Who do you think will come out victorious? Let us know!
