Henry Cejudo has offered to teach Jake Paul in the ways of MMA to fight Conor McGregor.

The former UFC champion believes he has 'a better chance' of becoming a world champion in mixed martial arts 'than he does in boxing'.

Paul, 25, is currently in ongoing discussions with a number of promotions including Bellator MMA and Professional Fighters League as he mulls over a career move.

He has also publicly pleaded with UFC president Dana White to give him a chance to fight in the octagon.

Triple C, meanwhile, has offered to join forces with his fellow American as he looks to make the transition to mixed martial arts.

His offer to help Paul comes after McGregor compared his outfit to paedophile Jimmy Savile.

Speaking to The Schmo, Cejudo said: “With the IQ that I have for MMA, if Jake Paul ever wants to come out to Fight Ready, to come out and train with me, I would take care of him dude.

"I think he has a better chance in mixed martial arts to become a world champion than he does in boxing.

Henry Cejudo has offered to train Jake Paul in MMA

I tell you this as a wrestler because I had the same goals and the aspirations to become a world champion in boxing at one point. Those guys who have been fighting since they were 5 or 6 years old, it’s a different speed, it’s a different finesse.

“I think the protocol for Jake Paul would be for him to fight. I can show him takedown defense.

"His hands right now could do some damage in the UFC against the top contenders. What I’d do is just sharpen up his other skills: takedown defense, clinch work, things like that. But you have to do it in a way where it’s super fun for him and he’s learning.

“I used to be the biggest Jake Paul hater, but I get what he’s doing now. I actually like the dude now – I think [because of] him fighting for the fighters and then him promoting women’s fighting or selling the fight. So I actually respect and I see what Jake Paul is doing.

"I think he’s doing so much more for boxing recently than anybody else has in the last f****** five years.

“Jake Paul if you want to come up and train with Triple C, I would be more than willing to help you and show you the skills of the trade. Now if Jake Paul tells me to f*** off then it’s all good. This is just coming from my heart man.”

Paul has sensationally accused McGregor of 'ducking' a fight with him following another public spat on social media.

He told a press conference: “I mean, of course Conor’s watching to support Katie.

“We had a little bit of banter back and forth.

“But of course he always has something to say, but he doesn’t really have a place to talk, right?

“He hasn’t won a fight in five years, Dana [White] owns him, and I’m the one that got Katie Taylor a big payday and that’s his hero.

“Conor McGregor’s not tall enough to ride a roller-coaster. I feel bad for him. He’s ducking me.

“We’ll get that settled one day.”
