The 25-year-old has reportedly been identified by manager Ange Postecoglou as someone who can come in and immediately bolster his current crop of defenders at Parkhead.
What is the latest news involving Celtic?
It’s been a successful season for the Hoops under their Greek-Australian tactician, who has overseen a significant overhaul of the first-team squad during his short time at the helm.
Postecoglou has brought in no fewer than 17 players on either permanent or loan deals since arriving at Celtic last summer, allowing a similar number to move in the opposite direction.
However, one area of the pitch that still appears to be vulnerable and lacking strength in depth is the left-hand side of defence.
As a result, centre-back Liam Scales and right-back Josip Juranovic have been required to fill in at left-back on numerous occasions throughout 2021/22, leaving the side slightly unbalanced at times.
What is has O’Rourke said about Celtic?
Despite the imminent return of teenager Adam Montgomery from his loan spell at Aberdeen, the Scottish Sun have revealed Celtic are ‘tracking’ Jeahze ahead of a potential move.
And O’Rourke believes the 25-year-old could be an upgrade on the existing options available to Postecoglou.

He told GiveMeSport: “Bolingoli doesn’t figure in the plans going forward, while young Montgomery has been out on loan at Aberdeen as well. So, I think he’s (Postecoglou) had to play Juranovic sometimes at left-back this season when he’s a regular right-back.
“So, I think getting the Swedish left-back, who’s playing for Hammarby right now, could be somebody who would definitely improve Celtic’s options at left-back.”
Would Jeahze be a good signing?
The Scottish Sun claim that Jeahze, a Swedish-born Iraq international, would cost in the region of £2 million after establishing himself as one of the Swedish Allsvenskan’s top performers.
Since his arrival at the Tele1 Arena, the attack-minded full-back has registered two goals and 12 assists in 56 appearances across all competitions.
Jeahze has helped Hammarby to the top of the table in the early stages of their domestic campaign and could be on the verge of sealing a move to Celtic as a reward for his impressive form.
