With the latest Fortnite update 20.30 going live, Epic Games has brought the lightsabers back into the game as part of “Star Wars May the 4th” quests.
The developers have introduced six new challenges and a few of them require you to have the iconic lightsaber equipped in order to complete the quest.
So, if you haven’t managed to come across one or don’t know how to find it, here’s a quick guide on how and where to find lightsabers in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.
Where to find lightsabers in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2
Lightsabers in Fortnite are one of the most loved weapons in the game and have been brought back to celebrate May The Fourth, or Star Wars Day. The developers have added back four lightsabers Fortnite, including the ones owned by Luke Skywalker, Kylo Ren, Mace Windu, and Obi-Wan Kenobi for the first time.
Each lightsaber is almost similar looking in terms of colour and design to its owners. A few quests also require you to wield the lightsabers and use them during certain in-game scenarios.
Since their return, lightsabers have been quite the buzz of the town and many have been trying to find these in the game. You can find lightsabers in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 as floor loot or in chests. These are the only two ways to find the lightsabers in the game, for now, so you might have to do a bit of hunting around.
There are no guaranteed spawn locations for Lightsaber in Fortnite, so your best bet in finding one is to by going to an area with a lot of loot. Lightsabers are categorised as Mythic weapons, so watch out for items with a yellow glow as these might be just what you need. They are quite small too, which makes them easier to hide in plain sight. However, their orange glow should make them an easy thing to find.
High-density loot areas, such as POIs, will have a greater chance of containing lightsabers. So you can start off from there. Alternatively, you can kill enemies and loot the lightsabers off their corpses as well.
Similar to Jetpacks, every Lightsaber will take up an inventory slot, and these can be thought of as a stronger pickaxe. However, Lightsabers can also be used to block hits when used accurately.
