Real Madrid will play Liverpool in the 2021/22 Champions League final.

Despite trailing for 178 minutes of their semi-final tie against Manchester City, the 13-time winners booked their place in Paris on May 28.

Real Madrid defeated the English champions 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu thanks to a stoppage-time brace from Rodrygo Goes and an extra-time penalty by talisman Karim Benzema.

That result on home soil meant Carlo Ancelotti's side won 6-5 on aggregate following the 4-3 epic at the Etihad Stadium last week.

So, it's a rematch of the 2017/18 Champions League final and one man who is pushing for a start against Liverpool is Eduardo Camavinga.

The tried and tested midfield trio of Casemiro, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will likely get the nod, but Camavinga's cameo against City was simply too good to ignore.

Ancelotti called on the 19-year-old Frenchman in the 75th minute and it proved to be an inspired decision.

Camavinga replaced a knackered Modric and injected life into Real Madrid.

The former Rennes man was absolutely everywhere. Defensively he was solid as a rock, his passing was crisp and penetrative, plus his ball-carrying under enormous pressure was simply off the charts.

As a result of all that, a video of Camavinga's individual highlights against City has picked up some truly insane numbers on Twitter - and deservedly so.

Fan reaction to Camavinga's incredible cameo

It's scary to think that Camavinga is still just 19 years of age, isn't it? He played a role in all three goals as well, particularly the first where it was his cross that found Benzema.

The kid has all the tools necessary to become a modern day great and it certainly won't be long before he's a permanent fixture in Real Madrid's starting XI.

Especially when you remember that Camavinga was also a game-changer from the bench in the second leg comebacks against Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

Will Ancelotti keep him as a super-sub for the final against Liverpool, or hand him the opportunity to start that he probably deserves?

It'll most probably be the latter, so if you're Jurgen Klopp, make sure you have an option off the bench of your own to counteract the brilliant Camavinga.
