Liverpool’s new Nike home kit for the 2022/23 season has been officially unveiled.

The all-red strip will be worn by Jurgen Klopp’s side next season and is inspired by the attitude of ‘Scouse solidarity’.

It also features YNWA (You’ll Never Walk Alone) on the sleeve cuff as well as the ’97’ emblem in memory of the children, women and men who lost their lives in the Hillsborough tragedy.

On Thursday morning, Liverpool released the official kit launch video which includes Klopp producing his trademark fist pump. It also includes Jordan Henderson, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Ibrahima Konate. The Women’s side, who earned promotion this season, are represented by manager Matt Beard and players Missy Bo Kearns, Taylor Hinds and Leighanne Robe.

“We’re all so proud to wear the Liverpool FC jersey and be part of the swoosh family,” said Henderson. “We know exactly what this jersey means to our fans, and we can’t wait to run out in it at Anfield.”

The Nike kit is sustainably made with shirts “constructed with 100 per cent recycled polyester fabric, which is made from recycled plastic bottles.”

Liverpool will be hoping their new home kit includes a golden Premier League badge which celebrates the previous season’s champions. The Reds are currently one point behind Manchester City with four matches remaining in the season.

They will also be hoping that during Champions League matches next season, they will have the number seven on their logo.

The club will face Real Madrid in the final of the competition in Paris on May 28 looking to win the European Cup for the seventh time.

Oh and if they also beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final, this will be the kit that the quadruple-winning side will be wearing next season…
