The talented attacker could be one of a number of high-profile stars set to depart the Mestalla this summer as Los Che look to raise some much-needed funds.
What is the latest news involving Guedes?
According to Spanish outlet EstadioDeportivo, Guedes is attracting attention from a handful of teams across the continent after enjoying an extremely productive 2021/22.
It’s claimed that Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma have a serious interest in the 25-year-old, while Sevilla were keen to snap him up last summer before being priced out of a deal.
However, Guedes is one of Portuguese super-agent Jorge Mendes’ clients, and his close ties to Wolves have also seen him become a target for the Midlands outfit.
The versatile attacker’s current contract is set to expire in June 2023, and therefore, Valencia may be forced to cash in on their prized asset in the upcoming window or risk losing him on a free transfer.

And the La Liga outfit confirmed losses of €31.2million (£26.3m) in November last year and projecting losses of €36m (£30.4m) for this season despite counting on earning €37m (£31.2m) from player sales before June 30.
That means the likes of Guedes could be sold in order to combat the monetary issues Valencia are experiencing.
What has O’Rourke said about Guedes?
O’Rourke believes Guedes is a ‘talented player’ who could ‘definitely improve’ Bruno Lage’s options if he arrived at Molineux over the coming months.
He told GiveMeSport: “Valencia, I think obviously still have a few financial issues as well. So, this summer, they might be forced to cash in on a number of players.
“And that might aid Wolves’ pursuit of Guedes. He’s a talented player and somebody that would definitely improve that Wolves squad if he was to arrive at Molineux this summer.”
Would Guedes be a good signing?
Guedes is currently enjoying the most productive season of his senior career, registering 13 goals and six assists in 38 appearances across all competitions.
And the Portugal international’s underlying numbers are equally as impressive.
As per FBref, Guedes has ranked in the 95th percentile for dribbles completed, 93rd for progressive carries and 92nd for progressive passes amongst players in his position over the last year.
With Francisco Trincao expected to return to Barcelona following an underwhelming loan spell, Lage would surely warmly welcome the arrival of Guedes at Wolves.
