WWE are set to make Clash At The Castle a whole weekend affair, with reports that they are looking at hosting another NXT show around the event.

WWE are set to invade Cardiff on September 3rd for the first UK stadium show for thirty years, when Clash At The Castle takes place at the city’s Principality Stadium.

The show will be WWE’s third stadium event in a row and will follow the two July shows, Money In The Bank from Las Vegas and this year’s SummerSlam, which is taking place in Nashville.

To increase the spotlight on Cardiff and to give the event a ‘WrestleMania’ feel, Clash At The Castle isn’t the only show WWE are planning that weekend. According to WrestleVotes on Twitter, there is talk within WWE of hosting an NXT Stand and Deliver at one of the stadium shows, with their preference being the Welsh event.

The tweet goes onto say that it’s likelier that the NXT Show will be in Nashville around SummerSlam, much like the NXT TakeOver shows of the past have been included as part of previous SummerSlam weekends.

April’s NXT Stand and Deliver was the first major arena show for the rebranded NXT 2.0 and featured Mandy Rose defending her NXT Women’s title against Cora Jade, Kay Lee Ray and Io Shirai, LA Knight’s last NXT match and Dolph Ziggler defeating Bron Breakker to retain the NXT Championship.

While a Stand and Deliver at SummerSlam seems likelier, a show in Cardiff would give WWE the opportunity to include Superstars from NXT UK on the show, including Welshman Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster, who would both receive a warm welcome from their home country.
