After undoubtedly being the top star in WWE for the last several years, some fans are calling for Roman Reigns to be dubbed as the GOAT right now.

The other contender is Roman's former rival, Brock Lesnar, but many are calling for Reigns to be agreed upon as the best in WWE right now.

So, that got us thinking, how does the entire current men's WWE roster rank against each other right now.

It seems like a hard task, but not for GiveMeSport, as we've now ranked the entirety of the active men's WWE roster from 'GOAT' to 'D' using Tiermaker.

Before we get cracking, it's worth pointing out that this list isn't just about the talent the wrestler has, but rather also how they're booked within WWE right now, their history within wrestling, and their potential.

D

  • Commander Azeez
  • Drew Gulak
  • Mansoor
  • Mace
  • Reggie
  • Shanky

It feels harsh to rank these six Superstars as the worst on the active WWE roster, but it's more about how they're positioned on TV right now.

All six men either lose whenever they're on TV, are always involved in comedy segments when they are on TV, or in some cases, are rarely on TV at all.

These six could climb up the rankings with some good booking, particularly considering the talent of the likes of Gulak and Mansoor, but for right now, they're at the bottom when compared to the other roster members.

C

  • Cedric Alexander
  • Shelton Benjamin
  • T-Bar
  • Erik
  • Ivar
  • R-Truth
  • Jinder Mahal
  • LA Knight
  • Madcap Moss
  • Rick Boogs
  • Veer Mahaan
  • Omos

At ranking C, is the above list of 12 WWE Superstars.

What makes this ranking so interesting, is that the likes of T-Bar, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin are truly incredibly wrestlers.

The issue is, they aren't booked as such.

Alexander, Benjamin and T-Bar almost always lose when they're on TV, as to other names on this like Jinder Mahal and The Viking Raiders.

Other names such as Omos, Veer Mahaan, Madcap Moss and Rick Boogs are clearly well-liked by WWE, and with some more time and some good booking, will likely feature higher in the coming years.

C+

  • Happy Corbin
  • Finn Balor
  • Ezekiel/Elias
  • Apollo Crews
  • Angel Garza
  • Humberto Carrillo
  • Butch
  • Dolph Ziggler
  • Robert Roode
  • Dominik Mysterio
  • Ricochet
  • Ludwig Kaiser
  • Ridge Holland
  • Ciampa
  • Mustafa Ali
  • Shinsuke Nakamura
  • MVP
  • Mustafa Ali

Like the 'C' pool, the 'C+' category has some of the best wrestlers on the planet right now in Finn Balor, Ricochet, Mustafa Ali, Shinsuke Nakamura and Ciampa.

It's also their booking that's holding them back, not their talent, and with some consistently good storylines and some big wins, there's no reason they couldn't be higher upon this list.

The likes of Butch, Ridge Holland and Dominik Mysterio are right at the beginning of their WWE main roster runs, and with some more time, could also see themselves higher up on this list.

The likes of Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode and MVP are heading towards the end of their careers, and are incredibly solid at what they do now, leaving them in this position, towards the middle of the roster.

B

  • Montez Ford
  • Angelo Dawkins
  • Otis
  • Chad Gable
  • Kofi Kingston
  • Xavier Woods
  • Gunther
  • The Miz
  • Theory
  • Sheamus
  • Damian Priest

Ranking in the middle category on this list, is the aforementioned 11 names, featuring the likes of Street Profits, New Day, Theory and Sheamus.

The category has some former WWE Champions, in Sheamus, The Miz and Kofi Kingston, and some names who will hope to be there one day, like Gunther and Damian Priest.

These names are all solid hands in WWE, and while they operate mainly in the midcard, could easily be brought up into the main event scene when needed to feud with top talent.

Theory, for example, ranks here right now, but given his current trajectory, it'll be very surprising if he isn't a lot higher by this time next year.

B+

  • Big E
  • Bobby Lashley
  • Jimmy Uso
  • Jey Uso
  • Rey Mysterio
  • Sami Zayn

Next up are the small pool of WWE Superstars who aren't in the main event scene right now, but sure are pretty close.

You've got Rey Mysterio, who is one of WWE's best-ever stars, but no longer is booked like the main event talent he was in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

You've also got The Usos, who while they may not win all the time on TV, are involved in main event feuds with their cousin and stable mate, Roman Reigns.

Sami Zayn, Bobby Lashley and Big E sit right below, and could all very easily be moved into the top tier of WWE over the next year or so, Big E when he returns from injury.

A

  • AJ Styles
  • Cody Rhodes
  • Kevin Owens
  • Riddle
  • Seth Rollins

These five men are arguably, in the eyes of WWE, five of the ten most important figures within the company right now.

All five are certain upper midcarders/main eventers right now, and could easily be picked to challenge Roman Reigns at any given pay-per-view.

All wrestle regularly on TV and on PPV, and are involved high profile storylines, they may not be the absolute best, but they aren't far off when it comes to talking about the best WWE has to offer.

A+

  • Brock Lesnar
  • Edge
  • Randy Orton
  • Drew McIntyre

With the exception of the 'GOAT', who you've all probably worked out by now, these four 'A+' wrestlers are right at the top of WWE's roster rankings right now.

You've got the heritage of guys like Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton and Edge, who have all main evented WrestleMania several times now, and held multiple world titles.

Then you've got Drew McIntyre, who has asserted himself as one of WWE's top stars in the last two years, and the company clearly loves him.

However, none can be considered the 'GOAT'.

GOAT

  • Roman Reigns

And the 'GOAT' is, as you've all guessed by now, Roman Reigns...

'The Tribal Chief' is the focal point of WWE, and to be honest, has been pretty much since his rise to the top in 2015.

There's no doubt that he's who WWE views as its top star, evidenced by the fact he became the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion at WrestleMania last month.

Roman could well become WWE's all-time GOAT by the time he hangs up his boots, but as of right now, there's no denying that he's the best the company has got.

So, there's that.

The entirety of the active men's WWE roster has been categorised into tiers and ranked from ‘D’ to ‘GOAT.’

Again, we want to point out that this ranking system isn't an indictment of the talent of the wrestlers, but how they're booked by WWE right now, and at the end of the day, it's just the opinion of one writer.

Regardless, surely not many people will be arguing that Roman Reigns is WWE's 'GOAT' right now?
