Levi Lewis' incredible pro day footage should leave Seattle Seahawks fans buzzing

LA Lafayette QB Levi Lewis

The Seattle Seahawks could be in for a bit of a surprise with one of their undefeated fee agents in the form of Levi Lewis.

The Seahawks find themselves in a very strange situation heading into the 2022 NFL season, for the first time since the 2012 campaign, they will be made to do so without Russell Wilson as their man under centre.

Wilson was a near ever-present in Seattle since taking over the starting job in 2012, missing just two games in his entire stint in the Pacific Northwest, both of them last season when he was forced to deal with a broken finger he suffered in a Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

However, following his move to the Denver Broncos this past offseason, they now have to find someone else to take snaps for them.

What are their options?

As part of the trade that saw Wilson leave, they were able to bring in Drew Lock and they also re-signed Geno Smith to the roster, even though there are some issues with the NFL with regards to his deal, it is expected to be solved.

Meanwhile they also have the likes of Jacob Eason on the roster having signed him off of waivers last season, and rounding off the group is Kaleb Eleby and the aforementioned Lewis, undrafted free agents to take the grand total up to five before the start of preseason workouts.

Can you remember who won these Super Bowls? Starting with the most recent one... LVI

And it is Lewis who could perhaps be the surprise of the bunch as footage of him has reemerged on social media recently.

What has Lewis done?

Lewis, a 23-year-old out of the University of Louisiana-Lafayette had a relatively impressive college career, putting up 9,203 passing yards in his five years with the Ragin’ Cajuns to go along with 74 passing touchdowns.

However when you don’t go to a big-brand college, it does sometimes become hard to stand out from the crowd, and you have to find other ways to impress professional teams, and Lewis did exactly that with an impressive deep throw at his pro day that was unearthed by Mikaela Mattes:

When you’re playing in the wet and windy conditions of Seattle, having a strong arm will certainly be a benefit to a quarterback, and Lewis seems to have that in his arsenal.

Much like how Wilson came from way down the pecking order as a 3rd round pick to be the starter, could we be about to see the same with Lewis in Seattle?
