Unfortunate news for former WWE Champion Big E, who has posted a worrying update on his broken neck.On the March 11 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Big E broke his neck in a spot with Ridge Holland.Big E thankfully didn't require surgery, and the initial updates suggested that things looked fine for him, when compared to how bad broken necks can be.Broken necks can often result in immediate paralysis, so the fact that Big E was able to walk and didn't require surgery was seen as an obviously good sign.

We haven't seen Big E since that date, which was to be expected, as he's been working on his recovery away from TV.

But now, the New Day member has taken to Twitter to share a rather worrying update on his recovery.

E said that his C1 isn't healing as well as doctors would have hoped, so he's going to be in his neck brace for another 4-6 weeks.

Big E went on to say that he'll remain in the brace to hopefully avoid needing neck fusion surgery, as you can see below.

Because he might just be the most positive person on the planet, Big E urged fans not to "fret", saying that he's got a "tremendous support system" and will be fine.

We'll look to provide you with even more updates over the coming weeks and months on Big E's status, and we all wish him the best with his ongoing recovery.

Big E's stablemates, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, remain on WWE TV as of right now, continuing their feud with Sheamus, Ridge Holland and Butch.

Big E is one of the most beloved members of the WWE roster, so fans across the world will be hoping that he's able to make a full recovery and mix it up with his stablemates again before too long.
