Big Show names strongest WWE Superstar ever, not Brock Lesnar or Goldberg

Big Show names strongest WWE Superstar

WWE legend Big Show showed his admiration for John Cena, labelling him the strongest guy he ever faced in the business.

Speaking in an interview with Chris Van Vliet, the 50-year-old professional wrestler was asked about the strongest wrestlers he faced in the ring.

Picking from Brock Lesnar, who he said “moves so quick it’s scary”, Goldberg and John Cena, he went with Cena without hesitation.

“Brock is probably the most explosive athlete I’ve ever been in the ring with. Brock moves so quick, it’s scary sometimes.”

Lesnar has used that explosiveness outside of wrestling in his MMA career, where he won five fights and lost three, but hasn’t fought since 2016 following his doping controversy.

He continued: “But as far as people picking me up, nobody’s like John. Cena picks you up it’s like you’re standing on concrete.

“I’ve never seen a guy so composed, so strong and when you’re on there, on his shoulders you’re not going anywhere. He is literally like a machine.”

Coming from the big man himself, that’s a very telling compliment for one of the most recognisable faces of the WWE.

John Cena’s journey from a young rookie rapper to the face of the organisation saw him perform some incredible feats of strength.

We can look back to one of his earliest big-man lifts in the early years of his career when he faced the Samoan Rikishi on Friday Night SmackDown in 2002.

Lifting Rikishi on his shoulders and landing the now-classic Attitude Adjustment was one of those moments that will be looked back on when he inevitably enters the Hall of Fame.

Cena performed arguably his most impressive move on the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania when he incredibly lifted both Big Show and Edge over his shoulders at the same time.

You can’t really argue with Big Show, who experienced that moment first-hand, and it is a perfect example of the strength, the embodiment of Hustle, Loyalty and Respect possesses.
