Michael Chandler has just shocked the world at UFC 274, with a brutal KO over Tony Ferguson. In what was shaping up to be a vicious battle between the two lightweight contenders, Chandler slept Ferguson with a powerful front-kick straight up the middle, ending the bout in round two. Ferguson came into the bout on a three-fight skid, but looked impressive in the first round, clipping Chandler with some big shots that had him noticeably wobbled. Chandler recovered well and landed an impressive power-double that put Tony on his back. Tony effectively managed the damage by tying Chandler up and landing slicing elbows from the bottom. When the horn sounded at the end of round one, both men were bleeding and needed attention from their corners.Shortly after the buzzer for the second round sounded, Chandler saw an opening for the front kick that shut Tony’s lights out.

The blow was truly devastating, Tony lay lifeless on the canvas as Chandler ran off to celebrate.

Tony face first on the canvas was a rare sight for MMA fans, as he has only been stopped once before in the UFC Octagon.

In an epic post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Mike admitted that he hardly trains the front kick, but needed to pull something from inside because he knew the first round wasn’t his best.

Chandler called for a rematch with Charles Oliveira or Justin Gaethje, or alternatively, a 170 showdown with Conor McGregor.

An impressive outing for the former Bellator champion, who continues his quest for UFC lightweight gold.
