WWE SmackDown: Roman Reigns humiliated before WrestleMania Backlash

The Bloodline WWE

On the final episode of WWE SmackDown before WrestleMania Backlash, a pair of out-of-control brawls lit up the blue brand, as Drew McIntyre & RK-Bro’s face-to-face with The Bloodline descended into chaos and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair brought the ire of Ronda Rousey.

Charlotte Flair vs. Aliyah ends in a Non-Finish, Flair brawls with Ronda Rousey

One week after suffering the humiliation of losing the Beat the Clock “I Quit” Challenge, an irate SmackDown Woman’s Champion Charlotte Flair pretended her opponent Aliyah was Ronda Rousey and unleashed an unrelenting assault on her opponent before the opening bell.

It wasn’t long before The Baddest Woman on the Planet emerged and lit the fuse on an out-of-control brawl between her and The Opportunity which would only served to intensify their WrestleMania Backlash “I Quit” showdown on Sunday.

Shayna Baszler def. Sasha Banks

After a hard-fought matchup from start to finish, Shayna Baszler overcame one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks with the help of the ropes and her cheating tag team partner Natalya.

The victory gave Baszler and Natalya major momentum over Banks and Naomi heading into their high-anticipated WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match next week on SmackDown.

When the challengers attacked the titleholders after the bell and attempted to cause further damage to Banks, Naomi broke free and paved the way for her and The Boss to clear the ring.

Madcap Moss dished out jokes at Happy Corbin’s expense

Madcap Moss interrupted Happy Corbin as his former cohort was beginning to describe all the things he planned to do to his opponent at WrestleMania Backlash.

True to form, Moss unleashed a unrelenting series of jokes designed to mock “The Big Bold Wolf.” This exchange will only serve to fuel the fires of their imminent matchup at the Premium Live Event this Sunday.

Gunther def. Drew Gulak

In recent weeks, Drew Gulak suffered the wrath of Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey as he attempted a number of management and crew positions.

As a result, Gulak decided to step back into the ring to face a mystery opponent. Much to his dismay, that opponent turned out to be the awe-inspiring Gunther. The dominant Ring General laid waste to Gulak before finishing him with the Powerbomb.

Sheamus & Ridge Holland def. Kofi Kngston & Xavier Wooods in a Tables Match

After the ongoing conflict between them saw diabolical brutes Sheamus and Ridge Holland put Xavier Woods through a table last week on the blue brand, Kofi Kingston and Woods looked to return the favor in a Tables Match.

In the final moments, Woods and Kingston’s offensive came to an abrupt end when the recently missing Butch emerged from under the ring and attacked his adversaries. This paved the way for Sheamus & Holland to put Woods from the table for the win!

Sami Zayn def. Shinsuke Nakamura by Count Out

After overhearing Shinsuke Nakamura badmouthing Roman Reigns and The Usos, The Master Strategist took it upon himself to squash this potentially damaging situation to The Bloodline by taking on The King of Strong Style himself.

After The King of Strong Style followed a retreating Zayn outside the ring, The Master Strategist hit him with a surprise Helluva Kick and made it back in the ring in time to beat the count.

Drew McIntyre and RK-Bro come face-to-face with The Bloodline

The final moments of SmackDown descended into all-out bedlam when Drew McIntyre & RK-Bro engaged in an all-out brawl against The Bloodline.

The bedlam ended with Orton & Riddle taking out The Usos and The Scottish Warrior hitting the Claymore on Roman Reigns ahead of their Six-Man Tag Team Match at WrestleMania Backlash.
