Man Utd fans chanted 'You're not fit to wear the shirt'
Unitedâs loyal away supporters even turned on the team, chanting âYouâre not fit to wear the shirtâ at the players.
Hereâs footage of Unitedâs travelling supporters singing it:
What did Bruno Fernandes say after Brighton 4-0 Man Utd?
Asked if the chant was deserved, Fernandes told Sky Sports: "I include myself in that. What we did today, what I did today, was not enough to be in a Man Utd shirt and I accept it.â
The Portuguese midfielder continued: "The result is what it is. It is not good enough. They outplayed us. They always had a solution. Pressed us better and they deserved the result.â
And in terms of what went wrong, Fernandes added: "A little bit of everything. Quality. Mentality. They deserved to win, and we deserve to be in the position we are in now.
"It's something that we have to look at and be embarrassed about because that was not good enough from us and we have to do much better."
Fernandes and his Man Utd teammates now have a two-week break before their final home game of the season against Crystal Palace on May 22.
