Conor McGregor has responded to Michael Chandler’s call-out, after the American knocked out Tony Ferguson in an impressive outing at UFC 274.

In an epic post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Chandler expressed his desires to fight McGregor, saying: “If the UFC have a momentary lapse and give the title shot to someone else, I’ve got one dude on my mind.

“Conor McGregor, I am the most entertaining lightweight on the planet. I want you at your baddest and I want you at your best; you and me at 170lb.”

It seems that the Irishman was impressed with what he saw, expressing his own ambitions to set up a 170 showdown with Iron Mike.

McGregor wrote: “I’d have a nice knock off this guy, no doubt about it. A firework spectacle. I like the 170 shout also. Tipped him over. I’m definitely game to fight this guy at some stage in my career. I see it happening after tonight. Congrats on a solid win Michael and another barnstormer.”

Chandler looked fantastic in his return to the Octagon, brutally knocking out Tony Ferguson with a perfectly timed front kick up the middle.

Could this be a fight we see when McGregor makes his comeback later this year?

Conor is currently recovering from a broken leg that saw him lose his previous bout to Dustin Poirier, but he does look in unreal shape right now.
