Pele's greatest goal was digitally recreated based on his description

Pele's greatest ever goal had to be digitally created and it's special

When you think of the greatest footballers of all-time, Pele is one name that immediately springs to mind.

The Brazilian enjoyed an incredible amount of success during his professional career.

Pele burst onto the scene as a teenager and he was just 17 when he played a key role in Brazil winning the 1958 World Cup.

He helped Brazil to two more World Cup trophies (1962 and 1970) during his career.

Pele scored an extraordinary amount of goals in his 21-year stint as a professional footballer.

He actually holds a Guinness World Record for most goals scored in football history, having hit the back of the net 1,279 goals in 1,363 games.

Unfortunately, not much footage of Pele playing football survives today.

Pele’s favourite ever goal, scored in 1959 for Santos against Atletico Juventus, was also not caught on camera.

However, the goal has been digitally created based on Pele’s description. You can view it below…

Wow.

Pele might be the greatest player ever, but you can be forgiven for doubting whether he actually managed to score that.

The Brazilian produced an outrageous first-touch to flick the ball over a defender.

Making his way into the box, he then flicks the ball over two more defenders, keeping the ball in the air the whole time, before lobbing the goalkeeper and then heading into an empty net.

It’s unfortunate that no footage of the goal exists anymore as it would surely go down as one of the greatest goals ever scored in football.

But it’s impossible to prove the legitimacy of Pele’s claims. We’re just going to have to take his word for it.
