Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou will look to bag a few bargains from Japan when he aims to bolster his Parkhead squad as he knows the market 'inside out', according to Pete O'Rourke.
Postecoglou was appointed as the Bhoys' manager last summer and is already making plans ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
Why is Postecoglou expected to target players from Japan?
Postecoglou is fully aware of the talent on offer in Japan as he managed Yokohama F. Marinos in the country's top flight before heading to Celtic 11 months ago.
Among Postecoglou's first signings following his arrival at Parkhead was Kyogo Furuhashi, with the Bhoys forking out £4.6million to ensure he would head to Glasgow.
The 27-year-old has taken Scottish football by storm, with him racking up 18 goals and five assists in 31 appearances.
Furuhashi's success led to Postecoglou returning to the Japanese J. League for Daizen Maeda, Yosuke Ideguchi and Reo Hatate when the transfer window reopened at the turn of the year.
Maeda has been averaging a goal contribution every other outing, Hatate has found the back of the net four times and Ideguchi has made five appearances since his winter switch.

What has Pete O'Rourke said about the situation?
O'Rourke believes some more of Japan's hidden gems could be on their way to Celtic when the summer window opens for business, meaning Postecoglou is in line to repeat his transfer masterclass.
The journalist told GIVEMESPORT: "I think it's definitely a market that's served Celtic well in the last couple of transfer windows.
"The signings of Furuhashi, Hatate and Maeda have been key additions to the squad and have helped propel Celtic to the top of the Scottish Premiership.
"Postecoglou knows the Japanese market inside out, so he would be foolish not to look at it again and see if he can find players who can improve that Celtic squad.
"The big bonus with the Japanese market is that the signings are relatively cheap. There are not big price tags on these players, so it is something that would fit the Celtic remit as well."

Postecoglou has led Celtic to the brink of the Scottish Premiership title, meaning he is on course to enjoy a dream first season at the helm.

His additions over the past two transfer windows have also allowed Celtic to boast the most potent attack and stringent defence in the top flight, so he has surely earned the right to splash the cash as he sees fit.
