Cody Rhodes, sharing the ring with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania Backlash, won his second WWE PPV match since returning last month.

Cody Rhodes made his sensational return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 last month, appearing as the special opponent for Seth Rollins.

It was Rhodes who picked up the win at the big show, but Rollins wasn't happy, and challenged the former AEW star to a match at WrestleMania Backlash.

Things went on plan one again for Cody tonight, as to the surprise of some, he beat Rollins on the show once again.

The match was great, just as it was at WrestleMania last month, and fans have been left rather impressed.

The match was Cody's fifth straight win on WWE TV, with the 36-year-old having been victorious in his four prior outings at WrestleMania and on Raw since his return.

Rhodes' last loss in WWE came back in May 2016. At the show, which was taped on May 16, Cody wrestled as Stardust, and lost to Zack Ryder.

Back to WrestleMania Backlash, and as noted, while some fans expected Cody to lose, almost everyone will agree that the match tonight was great.

In fact, one fan thought the match was so good, that they've called it the 'Match of the Year' so far.

The issues between Rhodes and Rollins are unlikely to have concluded here, with Rhodes winning via rollout while grabbing the tights, and another match is likely on the cards.

WWE's next Premium Live Event is Hell in a Cell, scheduled for June 5 in Chicago, and that'll likely be where this bitter feud between two of WWE's top stars finishes.
