Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has a 'new crisis on his hands' as a host of stars are seeking a way out of Stamford Bridge this summer, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

Tuchel has been in charge of the Blues since being named as Frank Lampard's successor more than 15 months ago, but it appears he is facing a serious challenge over the coming months.

Who is set to leave Chelsea this summer?

The sanctioning of Roman Abramovich has resulted in Chelsea being unable to hand lucrative new contracts to the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, whose current agreements are due to expire in the summer.

Neither of the central defenders are set to remain in west London as Tuchel has confirmed Rudiger will move onto pastures new, while Spanish sources have revealed Christensen has signed a five-year Barcelona contract worth £21million.

Meanwhile, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has claimed Marcos Alonso has made leaving the Premier League a priority and, amid interest from Barcelona, would like to seal a return to his homeland of Spain.

Chelsea could be more open to sanctioning the left-back's departure after it emerged Alonso was involved in a 'heated exchange' with Tuchel at half-time of the weekend draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers, leading to his substitution.

Romelu Lukaku is also understood to be seeking the exit door less than 12 months on from his record-breaking £97.5million return from Inter Milan.

What has Dean Jones said about the situation?

Jones believes Tuchel is set to face one of the most testing periods of his managerial career as a host of big-names are hoping to leave Chelsea over the coming months.

The transfer insider understands Barcelona are looking to lure a number of the Blues' stars to the Nou Camp and is expecting sweeping changes to be made to the west Londoners' squad.

Jones told GIVEMESPORT: "The takeover is being fixed, but it now looks like Tuchel's got a new crisis on his hands because half of the team wants to leave.

"They're fighting off Barcelona for almost all of the wantaway players and they are going to undergo an overhaul. They probably need one, to be honest, based on what we've seen."

What's the latest news involving Chelsea's takeover?

Chelsea confirmed last week that an agreement is in place for a consortium led by Todd Boehly to take the club off Abramovich's hands.

The club statement revealed the deal, worth a total of £4.25billion, is expected to be rubber-stamped later this month.

It comes after Abramovich put Chelsea up for sale in March, soon after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
